Friendly, open and relaxed… the best way to find an dentistal office staff. Never a long wait and with free parking (unlike downtown Flagstaff). I had extensive work done on my teeth and am very pleased with the results.

Always, always receive the best care. The dental hygienists are thorough and able to detect needs, give patient friendly tips on dental maintenance and are very personable. My family has been patients of Flagstaff Dental Arts since Dr. Montfort opened in the early 80’s. We have family that travel from Phoenix to receive the expert care that they provide. The office staff is very accommodating and go beyond to ensure patient satisfaction.
I recently went to Flag Dental Arts for an initial consultation. Dr. Maurer and his dental assistant made me feel very comfortable from the moment they walked in the room (in full disclosure I knew Dr. Maurer from our undergrad years at NAU around 20 years ago). Although my x-rays and examination were rather uneventful, Dr. Maurer took the time to go through each x-ray and explain areas of potential concern.
I have been a patient of Dr. Crane since 1999. Dr. Crane is a bright and competent dentist that takes the time to walk you through each step of your treatments. Her communication style is comforting and supportive. She has a kind and gentle demeanor and takes a genuine interest in her patients and their families. Dr. Crane is highly respected for her integrity and top notch dentistry skills. The office team are always very welcoming and make you feel at ease during your visit. I highly recommend Dr. Crane and the staff at Flagstaff Dental Arts.
I started going to Flagstaff Dental Arts several years ago when I commuted and worked in Flagstaff at the recommendation of a coworker. Although I haven’t been working in Flagstaff for over four years, I continue to make the hike up the hill 1.5 hours each way because the care of my hygienist and the friendliness and helpfulness of everyone else makes it well worth it.
The atmosphere in the office is always positive and friendly. I have never had to wait long at Flagstaff Dental Arts. Patty is the best of the three hygienists I’ve had and they’re all good. She just has a way of making a person feel at ease. She also is quick to point out the positives rather than the negatives which I very much appreciate. She is very congenial.
From the moment you walk in and talk to Sarah, to a quick appointment with Thomas. Everything was perfect and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The dentist I saw explained everything and made sure I understood what was happening. Thank you so much. Also Lynette was a character and a half that couldn’t help but leave a smile on your face. My experience was pleasant; the staff was wonderful; my hygienist even closed the door to our room so we could turn the radio up as I wanted to listen to the news report. Dr. Maurer is always great!

I appreciate my Dentist and the lady who cleans my teeth. The work is excellent and I feel safe that I will have my teeth healthy into my older age, which is so important to me as I am in my 70’s. All of the staff are so personable and nice while being professional and giving the best to their patients. So glad I found them.
Dr. Montfort and his team were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Montfort was very clear when explaining my options with respect to the procedure involved in each of those options and their associated costs. I went in with a broken front tooth, and a sad face, and came out with a shining smile. You can’t even tell that I had broken that tooth. I thought the service I received was also very reasonable.
My dental appointment experience with your office was good. First, it’s always nice to see the employees I have gotten to know over the years. Second, my dental hygienist always does a very good job and I love having my teeth cleaned. I am very appreciative to her.

The staff is friendly and helpful–also sympathetic! I had a need for a rush appointment and they were able to give me an appointment the following day. The dentist seems knowledgeable and explained things fully. I was overall very impressed as I am only a summer client and they treated me like I was a regular, faithful patient!!

This appointment was to plan for some future oral surgery and resulting prosthetic modifications. Dr. Maurer explained clearly why the surgery is necessary, what it would entail, and options for the prosthetic modifications.

Dr. Crane is a wonderful Dentist! She has taken excellent care of my dental health and furthermore she has guided me on a path to improved overall health. I appreciate how she always shows interest in my nutrition in such a supportive manner. Dr. Crane is gentle during treatments and always asks for feedback on my pain tolerance, ensuring that I am comfortable. Thank you to Flagstaff Dental Arts for your excellent service. While flossing at home, a crown popped off its tooth. FDA was able to get me in for an appointment within 90 minutes. It only took 30 minutes for Dr. Montfort to assess the situation, clean the tooth and crown, and reattach the crown. It should be good for another 15 years.
Going to the Dentist has never been something I really enjoyed, until I started going to Dr. Maurer. I have been a patient for a couple years and my wife has been his patient of Dr. Montfort for over 5 years. Dr. Maurer is a sympathetic and understanding Dentist that takes the time to ensure your comfort. His high level of empathy for my gag-reflex condition helps me get through the treatments at a pace that I am comfortable with. I have great confidence in his abilities and waited for him to finish his dental implants training so he could do mine. His quality of work is excellent. He is a great guy to visit with, we have a really good rapport and we enjoy talking about the outdoors, hiking and town events. The staff is friendly and kind and Sarah did a great job helping explaining the insurance process and procedures in a supportive manner. Everyone is great, competent, and I highly recommend them.
